In the New IoT example there are some compiler flags which indicate ssl support. But not tested or even compiled yet. well, i can enable all SSL defines and build IoT app without any problems: #define SERVER_SSL_ENABLE #define CLIENT_SSL_ENABLE #define UPGRADE_SSL_ENABLE as they added cloud support...
