- Tue Oct 06, 2015 8:33 am #30654 I had the same problem running a latching relay (4.5) from a pic16f with serial from the esp8266 being parsed. I had good clean power, even tried batteries. I installed a 5.5 vdc, 1 farad with a 1 ohm 1 watt resistor between the capacitor and the 5th power supply, then I feed the power from the cap to the 3.3rd regulator. The reset issue completely went away. I have made three different style boards with no more resets. By the way the latching relay holds in a 120 vac coil of a large relay controling 15amps. Hope this helps others.
