Its great you have achieved 38khz. Also can you provide me the any sample script in generating the pwm. I am using esp_iot_sdk i am not able to generate any pwm ended with error. And still struck here.

Also I use to check my ir transmission signal is correct by using the below code in Arduino UNO and connecting the IR receiver pin to pin 11

I ended up using the Arduino IR code, and modified a bit.
Ill post my code in a couple of weeks after I get it cleaned up a bit more.
