Hey guys,

I made an complete automated all grain brewery with an esp8266 as controller for just 100 €/USD.
I made a shitty video showing it off:

But I also wrote a very elaborate instructable that shows you exactly how to make it!

Feedback on the project and the code would be greatly appreciated!

Have a great weekend guys ;)

LOL! I really enjoyed the "shitty" video. I once tried to automate mushroom growing with a similar automated setup, but it didn't really work since there's quite a bit of manual labor involved and humidity/RH sensors are kinda difficult to work with at high RH. Not to mention automating a pressure cooker is a bit sketch.

I totally hear ya on the outrageous prices of beer in Norway- 15 buck for a 6-pack of shitty beer? No thanks. I studied abroad in Sweden, only visited Norway but similar situation- I bought all my beer on the 'duty-free' cruises. Being from California which has a large amount of craft brews & micro-breweries around, I was frankly pretty disappointed.

Anyways, given your extensive writeup and Belgian knowledge I may have to give this a try! I definitely appreciate the "made-with-love" sort of details and generous knowledge given in the tutorial. It's those little tricks and tips that make the difference. For example, I had no idea that following the recipe precisely was such a big deal. I mean, it makes sense, but with mushrooms for example you can be less precise and have the same results. When I move into a more permanent pad in a couple weeks I'm game to give this a try. Will report back.
