I'm having a blast building my own SmartThings devices with my arsenal of ESP8266's.
This one is using a DS18B20 Temperature sensor, which I already use to monitor our Dragons Penthouse 'Arduino Traditionally' to keep him happy. I may migrate his rig to SmartThings now. If you haven't already checked out blending the ESP with SmartThings, take a look at https://github.com/DanielOgorchock/ST_Anything.
