I am working on a project which will be commercially used. What is the best way to send data from phone to ESP (Locally)?

I tried MQTT which is standard IoT protocol, but it lags, my project needs to be quick in action, even delay of 3 seconds is high. Which is the best possible way to send data to ESP over cloud?
Any suggestions will be useful.

I mistakenly wrote Locally, it is remotely instead (over cloud). My bad!!

- Mon Jun 27, 2016 1:06 pm #49878 I believe mqtt is a very lightweight protocol. If you are experiencing lag then it is more likely your environment as opposed to the protocol.
