Sonoff Basic to control old ductless AC

I have modified my sonoff basic to isolate the relay so that its disconnected from the main and will toggle a circle, like a switch. I have an older ductless AC unit that I would like to wire the sonoff in to toggle on/off Cool made. I unit uses a wired remote. I do not have any EE background and I'm afraid that I might fry it... I have attached two images, one of the remote and one of the circuit board; I drew a red box around where I think I need to make the connection to turn on cool mode. Any help with this project would be appreciated!

Hi, I can guess why you haven't had any answers even thought you posted good photos. If you want the option of AC ON or AC OFF, this is not to bad to do but you will have no manual control. If you want to keep manual control or the fan option this will not be possable with a single relay.

Would I be able to just short out the two points in red to turn on Cool mode or no? I actually think it's the 2 above the red box for cool; I think I put the box around fan mode...

No. The switch connection does not short horizontally.
