It is different all the time now, the battery powered one seems to be receiving, the blue light is flashing as it should do when receiving data normally but the relay is only flashing it is not switching on. A brief flash of the led is all that is happening.

And now it is not after unplugging and plugging back in nothing.

Don't rely on LED flashing or stays on. Place some debug traces in the code, and attach serial terminal to see what is happening, otherwise you don't helping yourself and will get discouraged.

The ESP has a very low light again now and is not booting up.
