I have the exact problem. Have you ever managed to make it work?

I found that using a china Ac to DC power supply on the breadboard I get same results.

However if I connect a FTDI board and only use its ground Pin and connect that to ground of the breadboard, it works correct even when powering from the AC to DC power supply...

I had this same problem but fixed it. These switches turn on our off electrical currents in our body, but in a circuit the are lots of currents all over the place. So what I did is just put rubber behind the switch. What I was using the touch switch for a smart light switch so I attached the other side to a blank plate. I tested it and worked fine.

Nevermind it started to flicker again after a while
