#21996 I tried flashing two different nodemcu firmwares that work without problem in my other two ESP modules. Esptool did't complain and the tx blue esp led was correctly blinking so I believe it went ok. If I pull the gpio0 high I can no longer flash so that part seems to working correctly. It just won't boot from the spi flash.

So what exactly happened when you connected to it with your serial terminal software?
Which terminal software did you use?
What baud rate?

Sorry if you've been through this already but the thread above is muddled with several different scenarios.

#22006 After the "garbage" at 74880 baud should come some the output at either 9600 or 115200. You have tried those?

I don't use Nodemcu but I think the eventual output is something like this:
Code: Select allNodeMCU 0.9.5 build 20150107 powered by Lua 5.1.4
