Posted: Tue Jan 10, 2017 9:02 amFYI: I have been looking in to this and I have a version of the Arduino ESP core that cat set the Crystal frequency in addition to the CPU and Flash.

Installation instructions can be found at http://esp8266.github.io/Arduino/versio ... it-version just replace the official GitHub repository with mine.
