#47082 First of all, i am using :

ARD-FTDI-F Serial Adapter 5V / 3.3V Logic levels USB to TTL
ESP8266-12e
Yurobot 3.3V/5V power supply

FTDI ESP
tx rx
rx tx
gnd gnd

and on the ESP
Enable (CH_PH, I believe) -> 3.3V
Vcc -> 3.3V
GPIO15 -> GND

Ive looked into the settings of my FTDI, the baud rate is set to 115200 so is my Serial monitor window setting. I tried changing both to 9600, didnt get me an AT responce

Both are on COM5.

The ESP still flash when I power it on and off ( its not burned )

I cant figure what im doing wrong, anybody has an idea ?

#53247 For me I have exactly the same problem. I try to figure out this now for more than a week.

Setup: I wired up my ESP12F exactly like in "Kolbans book on ESP8266". So every pin should be set correctly to hi or low. For power I use a bred board power supply with an 5V USB Input. The USB power supply and the bred board supply should have enough power for the ESP. Tomorrow i try it with the Labor power supply to be really sure.

Problem: The ESP starts but I can't type in AT-commands. If I press a button on my keyboard, it shows more of this unknown symbols. Is it possible that I got a china’s ESP without the AT Software on it?

Output on UART:
