A resistor really only works when you have only a switch to ground connected on reset pin, and not the amount of other circuitry as you do that interferes with it....

Almost any "schottky" diode will work, for example 1N5819.

I prefer the 1N5817 because it has a lower forward voltage drop. Generally when a Schottky diode has a larger reverse voltage rating that comes at the expense of the forward voltage drop.

an sb120 has less than 200mV@10mA, thats a figure.
