As green as they come, but am attempting to work out 802.1x Ent. connection with an ESP. Its apparent from https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino/issues/1032 that the beta 2.0 SDK is needed for the proper methods. @igrr seems to be spearheading this and has notes at https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino/issu ... -245849344 and same posted at https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino#using-git-version; but not seem to be *nix focused.

Before I mess with installing GIT and Python, I'm assuming the latter is needed to compile into binaries, just wanted to make sure this is truly required or if there is a way to get pre-compiled files for the v2 SDK?
