I really liked ESP8266Basic by the way, I think it would make sense to add it on codebender:esp as a project type and make it easier to use it. What do you think?

It's also a "real" firmware update, as in we flash the actual firmware of the device, it's not an interpreter as in the case of NodeMCU/MicroPython/Basic.

The bottom line is this is a professional IDE for ESP8266, running on the Cloud with all the ease of use and collaboration advantages you get from that.
