- Tue Aug 18, 2015 11:18 am #26378 My ESP-12 keeps rebooting and I cant seem to format it or anything after loading someone else's code on to my ESP-12. This is the board that I'm currently using.



This is what I'm seeing when I connect it to ESPlorer (It just keeps repeating and restarting):



Then when i try to upload a different file it says this:



I've tried a couple different baud rates and I tried to flash new firmware but nothing seems to help. Im a newbie. Please help

- Wed Aug 19, 2015 8:03 pm #26526 Are you sure that GPIO 0 is grounded when you restart the device to put it in to flashing mode?

If it is not you will be unable to flash it.

Also i would flash the firmware with the node mcu flasher tool. IT has worked reliably for me.

Make sure that you specify the correct memory size when you are flashing also.
