Okay, I'm probably going to write something stupid, but assuming you don't need diabolic precision, can't you use a lookup table and interpolate?

Heh heh - I don't need amazing precision, just hoping someone knows a a cunning way to rasie to the power of 14 and then multiply by the number you first thought of, or something like that :D
