ESP8266 Community Forum

- Thu Nov 27, 2014 6:22 pm #3423 When I use the ESP8266 in standalone mode it works fine. When I connect it to an arduino via the uart there is a problem. When data is received via wifi and sent to the arduino, everything works fine. When I send data from the arduino it sends it to the ESP, but the ESP immediately restransmits it back to the arduino.

Would it be possible to implement an ECHO ON/OFF to stop the data on the ESP uart rx echoing back onto the uart tx line?

read from uart, will be added soon after I'm back from business trip. before 1-wire.
