WIN7 - Prolific USB to Serial (TTL), TX level scaled down to 3V - ESP8266
1) Flash NODEMCU at 115200 works fine
2) GPIO0 from grnd to Vcc and reset
3) LuaLoader, settings -> open com4: WARNING! Comm port is disconnected, while blue LED on ESP8266 is rapidly flashing, the red TX LED of the Prolific is constantly lit and the RX LED flashing like the blue LED on the ESP8266.
I tried all baudrates, no difference.
4) while GPIO0 on grnd: LuaLoader can connect to COM4 at 9600 baud

I tried all combinations of pin-levels, resets, power off/on, but to no avail.
Has anyone hit similar problems?

It is connected GPIO2 to Vcc ?

GPIO 0, RESET, CH_PD, GPIO 2 are all VCC

Thanks for the earlier suggestion, but the problem was due to insufficient power supplied by the Prolific USB-TTY, although it was ok during NODEMCU loading.
Problem solved.
