ESP8266 Community Forum

I installed LuaLoader (0.87) and flashed latest nodemcu firmware to my ESPP8266 board.
I can connect to COM8 9600 8N1 through putty / teraterm and see response from ESP.
However, if I connect using LuaLoader, I do not see any output from ESP.
My commands are going to ESP since I can see LEDs blinking and GPIOs toggling.

I do not have 'Hide Restart Garbage Data' checked.

What could be the problem?
Is it Prolific driver?
Is it Windows 8.1 / x64?

Please help.

- Mon Sep 28, 2015 11:58 pm #30082 Sorry if this is a bit late, but I had the same issue until I set LuaLoader.exe to run in compatibility mode for Windows 7, and checked 'Run as Administrator' at the bottom. Now everything works fine. Hope this helps someone in the future even if it's too late to help you.
