#10898 OK i've tried some of the other API calls and some of them are not returning the entire page.

The approx number of chars returned for each type of API call are:

api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/astronomy/q/UK/Gravesend.json
557 chars

api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/conditions/q/UK/Gravesend.json
2641 chars
api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/forecast/q/UK/Gravesend.json
7673 chars

api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/forecast10day/q/UK/Gravesend.json
18376 chars

api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/geolookup/q/UK/Gravesend.json
7716 chars

api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/hourly/q/UK/Gravesend.json
46214 chars

api.wunderground.com/api/xxxxxxxx/hourly10day/q/UK/Gravesend.json
305541 chars

As you can see some of them are huge. AM I right that I would not be ableto get a payload larger than 4096 bytes or could I get any of those?

#10943 Wunderground seems very intrusive and it will only get more so with time. They desire to make money by stuffing ads with weather info. Commercial web pages show weather information to enhance the local user experience and accept that the user will be pitched by some overpaid advertising exec's idea of what a user should be seeing.

Is there a better alternative for weather info than Wunderground.
