TerryE : Thanks for the info but I was doing that. (otherwise the INTERNAL//NODEMCU shouldn't have worked)
Filesystem is ok and version is NodeMCU 0.9.5 build 20150318 and that should work according to the comment from Vowstar.
So something seems to be corrupt.
Ps I watched a lot of youtube videos and read a lot of webpages, But I never saw anyone using SIO mode. So always used DIO mode.
Hope this extra info will help solve the problem.
