#22612 As topic says, I see I am missing a few examples now like the telnet to serial bridge. I installed a few months ago.
I installed originally using the described method .. add the json package index to additional boards manager in preferences and then install with via the board manager in the tools menu.
I just attempted another install from the board manager and it downloaded and completed (I think) but I still do not have the new examples, I assume the update did not occur throughout.
i do not want to muck around to much in case I break it .. is there a correct update technique to use ?

#22618 Ok, Marvin answered my question here..

https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino/issues/389

the last stable release is May 22..

I changed the json file in preferences to ..

http://arduino.esp8266.com/staging/pack ... index.json

and installed the staging version.
however I did not unistall the previous version yet so I now have 2 sets of ESP boards in the Board selector.. if I select the new one i now get the code examples I was after.

and Mesh ... drool..

ok, its late, lots to look at tomorrow.
thank you to all the contributors of this awesome package.

#58695 Hey guys it's easy. I burnt my 2hrs and finally I got the solution and it's damn easy. Just go to preferences and check the checkbox of check for updates on startup. Now close your arduino IDE and reopen it check for updates. BAAAAMMM!! There you go!
