#67972 Hi,

I have a couple of the LoLin boards and both act the same way. When I connect to a PC I do not get a COM port until I reset them. After reset I am able to upload code through the Arduino IDE.

As soon as the upload is finished and the code starts to run I lose the COM port again. Is this normal behaviour?

Nope: the circuit around the on-board USB -> RS232 convertor works on its own.

Have you tried a different USB-port, maybe the one you're using is not able to give enough power (just a wild guess)?

#68018 Figured it wasn't but wanted to check.

I have tried different cables, connected then directly to a computer and through hubs, different usb hubs (non powered and powered (1A) ), all the same. I have 2 boards and both act the same.

I have other boards so not the end of the world but still annoying.

#68039 Well, it shouldn't reset on its own (at last mine doesn't and it wouldn't make sense).
Maybe a cheap knock-off version? :?
