Hello,
I recently switched to OSX from Windows and installed Arduino IDE, but I see that there are multiple problems with esptool working with PL2303 based converters. There are some solutions for older IDE's but I gotta say that it doesn't work fluently i.e. after uploading program ESP8266 crashes on every Serial.read() line and occures with restart. Same program under WIN 7 and arduino 1.6.5 works just fine.
Please let me know if I can do anything to make it work.
