- Tue Aug 30, 2016 4:10 am #54114 Hi there, this my first post as new owner of a ESP-12E. Plan is ot is try the web server feature and also use it gather information from sensors and sent it to the web

I've watched the following video to get started. while it was useful I wasn't able to execute a basic sketch. (STEP BY STEP GUIDE FOR ESP8266 ESP-12E USING ARDUINO 1.6.7)

So my question is what checks do i need to do on ESP-12E h/w before I can start using it with ARDUINO 1.6.7. Should it have a NodeMCU firmware or Espressif or something else?
