Do you have crashes only when using UDP ?
If Yes, did you got stacktraces and have them decoded with https://github.com/me-no-dev/EspExceptionDecoder ?
If it shows crash at line 43 of esp8266\2.1.0\cores\esp8266/core_esp8266_main.cpp, several people faced the issue.
Hoping it will be fixed soon for next release.
