At that rate why not just wire in a switch for manual operation or use your smartphone or if you wanted to get fancy could just pull one of the GPIO's low or high and use some code to carry out your operation check status switch status.
Errr I'm not sure of the voltage at the pin when high during normal operation but you could just keep another pin high at all times grab the voltage from that pin on one leg of your switch then put the pin that is being monitored on the other leg of the switch in theory when it is pressed the pin should register as high. If you want to pull it low then you would use the gnd pin...
But personally at this point you might as well just hook up a light switch in line on the power coming out of the relay as it would be the most effective short of using your smart phone for instance.
