I used the nodemcu.flasher to install basic with the cpp.bin file last time because the espbasic flasher did not work.
The new github has a .ino file which doesn't install with the nodemcu flasher.
Are you still providing the bin files?

If you download the flasher program and run it it creates a directory call build. In this folder you will find the bin files for each flash size.
