#37931 GPIO 9 and 10 ....

THEY DO WORK WITH BASIC! ESP12E tested so far anyways!

would be nice if they were mapped though

SD2 = GPIO9 or pin 9
SD3 = GPIO10 or pin 10

flashed with flash download tools

DIO mode
32MB flash
Hardware Basic WIFI Dev Board and NodeMCU!

Enjoy!

#37935 As I said in the other thread, this success is probably hardware dependent, if someone is using plain ESP12, it probably don't work since the Flash is hookup as QIO but not DIO, therefore, some wires cut and soldering are required but not easily done on ESP12.

#37938 eps12E yes correct...

But it would be nice for someone to verify this on an esp12 if they got it! I believe all of my boards are 12E.

If I were a betting man though it may just be something that is 12 specific as the link you shared was actually an ESP07 if I recall correct.

Either way very useful but I agree needs a real testing to be certain that it works all the more reason to make the pins specific to nodemcu as all versions I have seen minus maybe 1 all seem to use the 12E with 4MB flash... could be wrong we shall see here and the E may not even matter in this case for all we know.

But surely worth a test!
