#41404 YIKES that's never fun at all good thing is pipes are not that difficult to fix if in the open and exposed if you have to tear out walls it becomes a bit more of a chore though.

Gotta love them winters they throw all kinds of curve balls at you.

I'm kinda in the mood to think up another nodemcu project or something in the near future here I've been busy playing PC repair guy and organizing a lot of stuff I had in bins into drawer type units so everything is a bit more easily accessible. Among other repair jobs and a full time job has left me with a little bit of time to enjoy this great hobby....

I am kind of stuck though I am still unable to change the AP name and I cannot find an older version of the firmware either to use errr I wish I remember what version of firmware it was I liked the best... I will have to give it a look I suppose maybe I still have it on one of my nodemcu's IDK...

Anyhow hope update and a few other things become fixed on the plus side though it don't look like I missed much while I have been gone.

Talk about cliche though a guy that goes by the nickname "mmiscool" his pipes froze hrmmm... mmisalittltoocool :P hehe.

Anyhow just trying to lighten the mood a bit best of luck to you mmiscool hope you get it ironed out and you can get back to the basics ;)

#41410 Why not use github for the update URL is it not possible?

Code: Select all t_httpUpdate_return ret = ESPhttpUpdate.update("esp8266basic.smbisoft.com", 80, "/4M/ESP8266Basic.cpp.bin");

vs your website why not use this?

https://github.com/esp8266/Basic/blob/m ... ic.cpp.bin

seems like a logical solution to downtime if you ask me...

#41414 Err thanks for the attempt over
... What is different I wonder? Things that make you say hrmmmm.

Anyways I am curious why this would cause a glitch in the matrix but yet your site does not just the way git is configured I assume?
