ESP8266 Community Forum

Hello i was wondering If it's possible to use the esp8266 at 2 locations on different ip addresses without having to send the ip of the first network to the second network and vice versa? Only just to send some Random characters back and forth. I found some stuff on the internet using same network but not for different location networks. Can someone please help me out? Thank you
