I wanted to load test ESP8266 for it's WiFi performance and reliability.
So, I did a ESP8266 load test for 3 days and the results are really promising.

Nice test.

Looking at your test board I thought I would mention the following board that I came across. It accepts a ESP8266 on one side or a ESP32 on the other. I ordered a couple. The board isn't well designed. There should be better VCC and GND connections. But I still thought that the advantages were greater than it's deficiencies. And it is cheap.

I bought it for the ESP32 but I can see where I might use it for a ESP8266 that I might want a prototyping area. On the board you put together, it is desirable to not have any metal under/near the antenna. It messes up the radiation pattern and it can affect the tuning..
