#13386 Pretty cool -- you'll make front page at hackaday.

There are no instructions on the Amazon site for changing the battery. It may be fixed and you just throw the device away when it is dead.

Maybe switch the final version on to a non-rechargeable battery so that people don't get confused and think they need to recharge it. I wonder how many clicks a coin cell with a boost power supply would give?

#13391 Hi, nice work, good latching circuit is similar to this module https://www.pololu.com/product/751
*Draws very little current in off state (typically under 0.01 μA)
A control pin will be connected to output of esp8266 , once pressed button esp powers on do funtion to send data or any other operation, than output will toogle to autoshutdown latching circuit

This will make a small battery last longgg time.

What kind of web requests are u doing?
I was thinking that it may be possible to add a epaper display(only need current to refresh, no current to keep content) to show some usefull information or for a more complex project.

Good ideia also for self sustainable device using a super capacitor instead of battery and small solar panel

Keep good work
Regards
