Posted: Fri Jun 26, 2015 6:07 amI had the same issue. I resolved it by compiling mosquitto 1.4.2 from sources.
I had the same issue: all clients work with mosquitto well; all but 8266.
The solution in my case was updating mosquitto to the newest version.
P.S. I unserstand that topic starter have solved his problem but solution have not been posted here.
