Hi,

I found a post on cnx-software that mentions the next gen ESP8266 is coming but no mention of it on this board that I can find. Does anyone have any information about what extra features / improvements it will have? I'm specifically looking for options to reduce battery current consumption. Thanks!

Feature wise should be very attractive if the price is similar. Should be released about now according to the article.
