#34971 Hello everyone,
I'm new in using ESP8266 and in my IDE arduino I don't see the Tools/Board/Generic ESP8266 neither Tools/programmer/Esptool
Here is the steps that I used :
1. Installed IDE Arduino
2. I plugged the ESP8266 to a USB converter (see the picture)
3. I open Arduino IDE
4. I open Serial monitor and sent A, I got an OK reply
then,
5. I tried to use exemples of ESP, that I couldn't find....
6. So I checked well and I couldn't see any Tools/Board/Generic ESP8266 even I don't see any Tools/programmer/Esptool ....
7. When I'm searching to install board manager ESP8266, here is the error that I got (see picture ).
So can any on tell me what is my mistake ?

Hello,

Thank you. I followed all the steps, however, in the step of adding new boards to the Arduino IDE (ESP8266 package),
when I click to download the ESP8266 package, the following error is occurred (see the attachement).
What would be the problem ?
