If you want to program arduino hold esp8266 in reset, if you want to access esp externally hold arduino in reset... Is that your question ?

Hello,
Just popping in for the first time.

my module arrived at the weekend and i have been trying it out,
I have managed to get communication working, but not yet 'WIFI'
I believe the 3.3v 300ma thing may be the issue.
I have ordered a new 3.3v Arduino Mega with High current output, When it arrives, Ill keep you posted.
I have found that using the Mega is really useful, as it has multiple serial ports, much better than using a second serial adaptor and softserial

Pretty much, thanks admin! I mainly want to check that the UART on the ESP won't effect the programming of the Arduino when held in reset.

Not done it yet, but almost ALL chips when you pull reset, basically all I/O go to tristate, or at the least an input.....

Admin name is Richard.

Richard. :-)
