Hello, I'm looking to send a POST request from a webpage/app to the ESP8266 and have it turn an LED on. Im finding plenty of info on having it send out POST requests but not much about it receiving them as a server. Ha anybody done this before or would be able to suggest looking at a similar project to see how that was done?

Why bother with HTTP POST? Try a UDP message.
