HT7833 is rated for 500mA. http://www.holtek.com.tw/documents/1017 ... xxv130.pdf

If you have any unstable operation you might look to change that. I had a Microchip part that was rated for 250mA and it worked much of the time, but I did experience problems. Once I switched to a 500mA part all the problems went away.

Ooh, nice catch there, mate.
I'm not sure where I got the 500mA figure from, maybe the seller :D
Anyway it should be fine, it's only receiving, not transmitting, we'll see...
Funnily enough, fleabay does not seem to carry any 7833s, I suppose one could still get them from a more serious source, if one had to, though I would probably end up adapting 117s, as you did, keep it simple...

(PS. No probs, found a whole pile on aliexpres)
