#73351 I know nothing, but wonder if your espboard issues USB control instructions to draw appropriate current level from your PC port?

If not, or your PC limits USB current significantly, you may well have issues....

#73355 My advice in these situations is to always start with a we mos or nodemcu board for development, and afterwards move to standalone chip if desired. Like this you can separate any hardware issues and firmware.
