I just checked out blynk again, and it now supports the esp8266, and the apps have been released, so you should be able to easily make mobile frontends to a esp8266-arduino. I haven't tried it out yet, but check it out at http://blynk.cc

I just wanted to give a heads up, that Blynk the apps have been released, as well as the device support for esp8266. I haven't tried it yet, but it looks great.
