Has anyone been able to get this to work? When trying to wake the ESP-01 with the PIR, the blue light is dimly lit, but it doesn't actually turn on. I think it's getting like 2.8V, when I believe the required is 3V

Hi, it should work fine. can you try a couple of things please. Remove the PIR and just use a wire link to 3.3V and see what happens. Also the output of the PIR needs to stay high for about 250mS for the boot to complete and the GPIO take over (if not it goes into a sort of boot limbo). Can you link the data sheet for the PIR you are using please.

Here is the datasheet

https://www.mpja.com/download/31227sc.pdf

When disconnected from the circuit, the PIR output pin goes to 3.3V as expected for a couple seconds. When attached to the circuit, it only goes up to around 2.8V

I've tried removing the resistor to GPIO2 since I'm not actually using it with no results either
