#91567 Hi,
I'm trying to swich some 12v device using 2N7000 transistor. Whole circuit works fine but my ESP is getting very hot (over 50 C). Currently I have just pulldown resistor between GPIO and GND. However, I thought that the heat might be due do no GPIO -> mosfet resistor. Do you think I need one? On the circuit below its represented as 100 ohm resistor but I'm not sure what should be the current value? Maybe this resistor is not required and my ESP is just broken and that's why its hot?

#91754 yeah, this resistance will be needed, I think you need to increase it to 1k ohm. But I don't think that's would be the reason for ESP32 heating.
