- Thu Feb 12, 2015 3:41 pm #9577 if you use mode3 you can have both ip addresses active, mode 2 is a stand alone server and as you know mode 1 is with your local router. At least that's the way I understand it, perhaps I am wrong in that belief, but that's the way it works for me using lua.

I am also trying to use ESP8266 as web server to control something inside my house, but I haven't found how to protect access.
