I have a project in mind that would involve an ESP8266-01S module where I would want to bring out 2 I/O lines (one for input, one for output). I would connect directly to the 8266 chip (say, I/O 4 and 5) but that's a side issue. I would want to be able to control the output line and get real-time status of the input line by using a wide variety of devices (like an old android tablet or a windows laptop). I don't yet have a home automation server but I've been fooling around with domoticz lately. My basic question is - what firmware would give me a the best options for control and monitoring of the I/O lines - ESPEasy or Sonoff-Tasmota?
