ESP8266 Community Forum

Any modification ESP8266 ESP-12E to 1Mbyte (8Mbit), with additional findings. There is still ESP-12D and ESP-12Q different volume flash memory. ESP-12E can be purchased here http://www.aliexpress.com/snapshot/6658 ... 9323680564

It seems my usual supplier (Ai-thinker) has discontinued ESP-12. Instead they only make ESP-12E with 32Mbit flash.

2.15 each shipping included to Macedonia. Description on the listing says ESP 8266 12-E but what I got is ESP 8266 12-Q.



I had only 15 minutes or so to play with it, I just connected it and started ESPlorer, and once connected via serial it printed it has NodeMCU 9.6 It also printed a github link of the firmware branch.

If anyone wants me to check something feel free to ask.
