#76493 Hi,

I'd like to know if you've ever faced this issue while trying to power an IR LED with a NodeMCU:

I've made a remote for my TV and my home cinema. The signals are well transmitted to these devices, but to make it work, I have to be right in front of each device: if the LED point out 1cm next to the device, it doesn't work anymore.

This behavior surprises me because:
1- As soon as i'm right in front of the device, it works even if I'm 5 meters away from it.
2- The actual remotes of these devices work very well even if I point out the remote in another direction, contrary to my remote. How are they made to do so?

I've tried with different LEDs, with several resistances from 150 to 330 Ohms, with a NPN transistor, and different ways of powering the circuit, but I always have the same behaviour.

What could I do to make my IR LED widely broadcast the signal?

Thanks for your help,
