#84056 Hi All,

I am new to the ESP forum and just starting out on developing using the ESP8266. I have a ESP8266 DevKitc V1 board and another customer board designed with the ESP8266EX. The custom board does not have a USB to TTL converter but has pinout to RX, TX, VCC and ground much like the ESP-01 board available.

What I found on the forum and resources online is that I will require a FTDI USB to TTL converter and I can directly connect the custom board to the PC to download the FW/Application. Is this the only way or can I make use of the ESP8266 DevKitC board for the download. I would appreciate any help to point me in the right direction. If there is no way, I might just go ahead and buy a USB-TTL FTDI board like the FTDI basic from sparkfun but I am curious to see if there is a possibility to use the DevKit.

Regards,
Faiz
