I have a little project where I have an esp-01 on an adapter board that communicates with a Arduino pro mini 'cause I needed more I/O pins than the 01 has. It was working fine, then i started getting the above message. After poking at it a while and even clearing flash (Erase flash: All Flash Contents) I set it aside and inserted a new 01 into the adapter board. Now everything is back to the way it was. I have been reprogramming the board via the OTA feature and I suppose I might have written to the flash many times, but I can't think that it died so soon. I can program it via a serial port just fine, but OTA doesn't work any longer.

Just curious if anyone else has seen this problem and do you think I just have a bad chip?

Thanks,
Jim.
